Lemon Garlic Butter Fish

Ingredients:

  • 4 fish fillets (e.g., cod, tilapia, or your choice)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • Juice of 1 lemon (plus lemon slices for garnish)
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley (chopped)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil (for cooking)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Fish:
    Pat the fish fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat the Pan:
    In a large skillet, heat a drizzle of olive oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Cook the Fish:
    Place the fish fillets in the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the fish from the skillet and set aside.
  4. Make the Lemon Garlic Butter Sauce:
    In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds, being careful not to burn it.
  5. Add Lemon Juice:
    Squeeze fresh lemon juice into the butter sauce. Stir well to combine.
  6. Combine and Garnish:
    Return the fish to the skillet to coat with the sauce. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and garnish with lemon slices.
  7. Serve:
    Serve the fish hot, drizzled with extra lemon garlic butter sauce, and enjoy with rice, pasta, or a fresh salad.
