Cheesy Honey BBQ Chicken Wings Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg chicken wings
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or a mix of cheddar and mozzarella)
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
    • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil and lightly grease it.
  2. Prepare the Wings:
    • Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels.
    • Season them with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
  3. Bake the Wings:
    • Place the wings on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.
    • Bake for 40–45 minutes, flipping them halfway through until golden brown and crispy.
  4. Make the Honey BBQ Sauce:
    • In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
    • Add BBQ sauce and honey, stirring well. Let it simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Coat the Wings:
    • Remove the wings from the oven and toss them in the honey BBQ sauce until fully coated.
  6. Add the Cheese:
    • Place the sauced wings back on the baking sheet.
    • Sprinkle shredded cheddar (or cheese mix) and Parmesan over the wings.
  7. Melt the Cheese:
    • Return the wings to the oven for 5 minutes or until the cheese is fully melted and bubbly.
  8. Garnish & Serve:
    • Sprinkle with fresh parsley (optional) and serve hot!
